Three Nigerians have been reported dead in the stampede that happened in Mina, Saudi Arabia. The people were among the 1,300 people that died while on pilgrimage in the holy land of Mecca on Thursday morning, while doing the Muslim ritual of "stoning the devil".
According to the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Media and Publicity to President Buhari, Garba Shehu, a notable Nigerian Journalist, Hajiya Bilkisu Yusuf and Prof. Tijjani El-Miskin were victims of the stampede that happened in Mina, Mecca. The third victim is yet to be confirmed.
