Ninoy Aquino International Airport

Manila, Philippines: Travelers in the busiest airport in the Philippines have now adopted a method to keep themselves safer from corrupt security officials at one of the most busiest airports in the Phillipines, Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

Travellers adopted the wrapping of their travelling luggages and a note warning officers on duty that they should not put bullets in their bag, as they are not carrying any contraband on their trip. According to reports, security officials were accused of "bullets planting schemes" or “laglag bala”  on bags of both local and foreigners in the country. After they get they bag owner, the owner will be asked to pay a fine, or face criminal charges of possessing firearms.

Bags are now wrapped tightly at airports, with warning or insulting notes to warn bad security officials. Some of the pictures can be seen below;

Hope the government can investigate this embarrassing situation at the airport, and this is travelling to the Philippines at this time might be a nightmare at the end of the day.

Recently a 65-year old lady was arrested and accused of illegal firearms after she had gone to extra length of covering her bags and that of her son, but unfortunately left an outer pocket open, and that is the spot the bullet was found.

A Nigerian also narrated a story of how a police officer dropped a bullet in his Dad's car after they had helped him to get to his checkpoint, but he stopped midway, and the bullet was seen and thrown off the car before they got to the checkpoint. Read the story here
