MI Abaga, a Nigerian prolific rapper has always used his mixtape to address issues, and when he replies, he goes for the jugular of the victims. With Illegal music 2, MI was not happy with how people are disrespecting Ice-prince, his label and himself, and he dedicated track 10 for all haters, that was good.
In his Illegal Music 3 mixtape released yesterday, MI went for one of the biggest Nigeria music websites, NOTJUSTOK.com. For the past 3 years, this music website have been mentioning names of best Nigeria rappers, but has always omitted MI name from the list, and while other Nigeria rappers have dissed the website, MI was mute on the issue, and never said anything.
The website must have thought they were saved from the paws of MI until yesterday. MI started with a chorus saying
Mr Notjusjustok, you must not be ok
MI then went further to say:
NotJustOk oh, wassup wassup
I saw the list you n***as made
Like what the fuck
You took a n***a couple years to muster up
The composure to address it is cluster f**k
A n***a gotta flip modes like busta bust
Am on my twenty ten sh** enough is enough
You standing in on the volcano to muster up
Yall n***a gon listen boy don’t interrupt
Short memories you n***a need extra gigs
Silly n***a gon learn to respect the king
Do I have to die before they say I’m the best to live
Switch to god mode and bring yall pestilence
If you didn’t help make it
n***a don’t rate it
cheap controversy tryna boost your ratings
This how bitches act shout out to ….
Aisha’s in the villa no more patience
And while the Headies Award might be having a laugh at NotJustOk diss, MI came for them too
To the headies wassup wassup
You my fam tho I wish you the best of luck
You’ve been a blessing to the game to lots of us
But that lyricist award mehn we got to talk
Not saying I deserve the plan
Cause I f**k with everyone who emerged in that
The criteria of the win it doesn’t favour the men
Spitting new raw sh** that’s word and facts
Speaking from the heart ma pace maker
Ain’t scared to ruffle feathers if it ain’t …
Game one more time let’s just do it
End of the day mehn it’s just music
Since the mixtape was released, Twitter Nigeria is been on fire as fans try to talk about their favourite track, while some try to break down the lyrics of MI. Some of Nigerian rappers who had not trended in a also trended on Twitter, and MI said that he was happy that hip-hop is what is been discussed on Twitter today.
