Da Nang, Vietnam: Locals and tourists missing after a boat reported to be carrying 50 people, some locals and foreigners on the Han River overturned in Da Nang city. According to our correspondent at the scene of the accident last night, traffic was redirected away from the scene to allow for quick rescue mission of victims of the accident.

At 9pm on Saturday(June 4), the accident occurred, aboard the cruise ship are 50 passengers, and 21 members of the same family who had brought their kids to the city for great school performances were also missing, rescue team, divers, all swung into action and more than 30 people were taken to the hospital.
The boat that sunk cruise is Thao Van, with a license plate of DNa 0016, and it is owned by Vo Quoc Hung. At the time of the incident, the ship captain was Le Chi Cong. The 28 capacity cruise ship last inspection was May 19, and was scheduled for inspection again in November 20.

According to a press release, the city said it has mobilized all its resources, including the police, firefighters and the army, and at around 11:40pm, 29 victims were transported and six were discharged, while the other remains under medical care.
Vietnam prime minister, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, called the Da Nang People's Committee Chairman to mobilize all resources and reduce casualties. He also requested that the cause of the capsized ship should be identified soon.
In an update this morning, three tourists, two children and an adult are still missing, while 43 people people have been rescued.
