Yola,Nigeria : The Nigerian electorates have been wondering the recent relationship between former Vice-president and APC member, Atiku Abubakar and the Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan. There have been various allegations that the PDP (People democratic party) is trying to win the heart of Atiku back to the PDP after he left the party to fight for the presidential candidate on the APC platform (All progressive congress) which he lost to General Muhammadu Buhari.
According to reports, President Goodluck Jonathan had met with Atiku Abubakar to woo him back to the PDP,and also assuring him of getting the presidential ticket in 2019.
The former vice-president confirmed the meeting with the president, but said he is not planning to leave the APC or will head any interim government as speculated by the media.
The president has not been seen in the APC presidential rallies like other candidates who had lost the presidential primaries thereby raising different speculations that he might be leaving the APC for PDP in the near future.
