Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam : The body of Ngo Ngoc Phut that was found in Cambodia was reported to have been killed in Vietnam and her body dumped in Cambodia, Keung Khhorn, provincial chief of police, told The Phnom Penh Post. This was said as the investigation of the murder of the 8 year old that was reported last week.
The murder was said to have happened after the mother of the young girl could not come up with a $300 ransom after she was kidnapped on January 26. Ngo Ngoc Phut mother works at one of the casinos at the Cambodian border.
The Cambodian authorities are working with their Vietnamese counterpart to bring the killers of the girl to justice.
The body of the girl was handed over to the family who couldn't identify the young girl, she was identified only by the school uniform, and the books that still had her name.
