A woman had died after she was denied entry to the United States, as she was originally from Iraq. The woman according to her son had only died because the immigration denied the woman from entering the United States because of new President Trump Muslim ban.
Mike Hager, an Iraq and a local business owner in Michigan, fled Iraq during the Gulf war, he later returned during the Iraq war, and worked alongside United States Marines and Army forces as an interpreter and cultural advisor, and also survived being shot in the back while serving.
Mike was returning to the United States with his family, including his sick mother that had lived in the United States since 1995, but while at the Iraq airport, Mike was allowed to go through immigration because he was an American citizen, but his mother, a green card holder was denied entry.
His mum, Naimma, 75, was denied entry after 20 years living in the United States. Mike said;
The immigration told us that the President of the United States put an order right now - you guys cannot go.
I was just shocked. I had to put my mom back on the wheelchair and take her back and call the ambulance and she was very very upset. She knew right there if we send her back to the hospital she's going to pass away - she's not going to make it.
Naimma died in Iraq, and Mike Hager is blaming the death on Donald Trump. He said;
I really believe this in my heart: if they would have let us in, my mom - she would have made it and she would have been sitting right here next to me,
She's gone because of him.
His niece, and two nephews are still stuck in Iraq, and he has no idea when they would be allowed back to the United States, and he also said he is fearful of his own status at the moment, even though he is American.
