ISIS has allegedly killed the leader of Majlis al-Shura because he failed to swear the allegiance to their supreme leader, Abu Bakr al Baghdadi. This had angered his group member and they declared a holy war, violent jihad against ISIS members.

A small war had happened between the 2 groups already and Majlis al-Shura killed 20 members of ISIS militant.  Majlis al-Shura  released a statement after the fighting, it says:

We, the Mujahideen of the Derna council, have warned those Islamic State militants to stop their criminal acts but they were committing even more crimes.

The battle seems to be the largest battle between the ISIS and the Derna radical group, as Majlis al-Shura supporters stormed all strongholds of ISIS, making everyone stay at home and shops closed on Wednesday.

Nasser al-Hassi, spokesman for Benghazi's air base said that forces loyal to the Libyan government have sent out air strikes against suspected IS positions in Derna.
