South China Sea

A Chinese woman, Zhong has been left surprised when she said a Vietnamese immigration officer at Tan Son Nhat wrote "F*** you" on her passport after she landed in Ho Chi Minh city. 

The officer was said to have written the word on two of the pages containing map of China, and showing the South China Sea. The Chinese government since 2012 placed the South China sea on pages 8,24 and 46 of the Chinese passport.

                  

The woman could not speak Vietnamese, so she left without saying a word.

Confirming the news of the immigration officer action is the Chinese consulate in Ho Chi Minh, and have released a statement via its website, and have also urged the Vietnam authorities to investigate who is involved and make sure such incident do not repeat itself again.

The Vietnamese and Chinese people engages themselves via internet or hatred towards each other as both countries disagrees on who owns the South China sea.

The USA secretary of state in a telephone call yesterday said. 

The United States sees China’s introduction of an oil rig and several vessels in waters disputed with Vietnam as “provocative," US Secretary of State John Kerry told China’s foreign minister.

Speaking  at a conference in Washington on Monday, he said all nations engaged in navigation and traffic on the South China and East China Seas are deeply concerned about China's aggressive actions.

He also said:

We want to see a code of conduct; we want to see this resolved peacefully through the law of the sea, through arbitration, through any other means but not direct confrontation and aggressive action,” Kerry said before a meeting at the State Department with Singapore’s Foreign Minister K. Shanmugam.

He also urged both Chinese and Vietnamese government to resolve all dispute in accordance with International law.  

Viet Nam had demanded that the Chinese pull back its oil rig from its territory, but the Chinese refused saying it belongs to China.
