Manchester United

Paul Parker, former Manchester United player from 1991 to 1996 while commenting on Wayne Rooney, Manchester United striker, said the play is now "Overweight And Slow", and he is not longer worthy to play in the new Jose Mourinho led new team.

Paul Parker said;

This is a defining season for Rooney. It's no longer about him breaking records but finishing his career at Manchester United. He needs to show his worth and that he deserves to be in the team and not just because of marketing.

As much as people appreciate what he's done over the years and how many goals he's scored, football is about now and being judged on now.

If someone had only heard of Wayne Rooney but saw him now they'd think ‘Who is this fella? He's overweight and slow.’ It looks like he can't move or shift his body quick enough.

Wayne Rooney scored against Bournemouth in their opening game last Sunday, but that is not enough to say that Wayne still has enough left to command a place in United’s starting line-up.

Jose Mourinho is seen as the favourite to takeover the new managerial duties of Manchester United. The special one was seen leaving his house at the end of Belgravia in London shortly after 3pm today with a smart black suit.

Mourinho met with club officials, including Ed Woodward to sign the deal. He was later seen heading home with a glass of wine and some great news.

Though the news is yet to be confirmed by Manchester United officials, but that may change soon as the former Chelsea coach was in a photoshoot to accompany the club release. Mourinho would earn around £10m a year, and another £5m if he makes Manchester United the king of Europe again.

Confirming the news is the Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand. He wrote on his Facebook;

Congratulations to Jose on being announced manager of the biggest club in the world! This is Jose Mourinho's most exciting and most challenging job yet. The first thing he needs to do is install 'winning mentality' back into the club. Get this ingredient back into the players but also the people that work inside the club day to day.

Give them back that belief so it is breathing throughout the club again, which is so important. But doing the above in the Manchester United way is equally as important.”

Louis Van Gaal sacked.

Louis Van Gaal (LVG) has been sacked as Manchester United manager. The 64-year old was relieved of his duties as manager after appearing on the team training ground on Monday, and was calm and acted like it was business as usual.

The man was named coach of the club in 2014, but his 2-years of reign ended amidst his game style that only see United scoring 49 league goals this season. His playing style had not helped both the players, and fans have also criticised their coach via different social media.

The backroom staff which was brought to Old Trafford could be seen clearing their desk this morning after the announcement, and there is new speculation that the new coach of the club might be the old rival of the club and former Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho.

 Jose Mourinho has been out of work since his sack as manager of Chelsea football club.

LVG led the team to the FA cup victory since 2004 on Saturday with a 2-1 win over Crystal palace, but that victory did not save him from getting shown the way out of Old Trafford.

Manchester United has not been able to reach the top three of the Premier league since Sir Alex Ferguson left the club as manager.

Wayne Rooney might be heading to the US to join the MLS at the end of his contract, come 2018. According to reports, Wayne Rooney has been getting calls from his former teammates, David Beckham, urging him to lead his own team he will be operating in 2018.

Beckham intends to start the football club in 2018 and has been receiving calls from players and different contacts, showing interest in the team that is set to launch 2018. The new team will be using a stadium near the Marlins baseball ground.

Wayne Rooney has plans to move to the United States after his career at Manchester United, and since he has been there for holidays, he seems to like the country, and also the football.

When the MLS commissioner, Don Garber was asked about the Wayne Rooney entry to MLS, he won't confirm the report because of the friendship between himself and the Glazers, owner of Manchester United football ball where Rooney is currently playing.

Garber said;

He’s under contract at Man Utd. I’m personally very friendly with the Glazers. To even be talking about it while he’s under contract I guess isn’t the way we operate. We don’t do that. We wouldn’t do it.

Van Persie, 31 has said that his move to Fenerbahçe S.K. earlier this month was because of him falling short of favour from the Manchester United manager, Louis Van Gaal. Van Persie made only 4 appearances in the last 3 months to the end of the season after an ankle injury when playing against Swansea City in February, and he said he feared the most when the manager failed to bring him into the game against Chelsea, when Man U was trailing 1-0 in Stamford bridge in April.

Van Persie told sunday times :

 That was one of the first signals things weren’t going in the right direction. I asked to play in the reserves, to get my minutes, but after was on the bench again. The atmosphere changed between me and Louis and people at the club saw it, but I was always professional. At that point I didn’t think to leave. [Van Persie's wife] Bouchra was happy. The kids were happy. I was happy in Manchester.

But I was still thinking we could come back from holiday and start from scratch. He had changed his mind about me before. When he took over Holland he said to me ‘You’re the No 3 striker.’ I was ‘O...K...’ but I fought and became the No 1 and his captain.

But when I came back, it wasn’t an honest battle any more. Fighting to get back in the team wasn’t given me as an option. He was sending me to Pitch Two. And I’m a mature player. I’m not stupid. I didn’t get angry or emotional. These things are part of football, part of life. You have to make the best out of any situation so I’m doing this by moving on.

I know Louis as a national team coach and now I get to know him as a club coach. And there is a difference

Manchester United manager, Louis Van Gaal has revealed the reason Victor Valdes will be leaving the club at the end of the summer is because of his bad attitude. Gaal said that Victor Valdes did not follow his philosophy, and there is no place for a player who does not do that.

Victor Valdes is not selected for the United pre-season tour of the United states, prompting speculation about the goalkeeper future at Manchester United.

He refused last year to play in the second team. There are a lot of other aspects in the philosophy of how you have to play like a goalkeeper at Manchester United.
When you are not willing to apply the principles of that philosophy there is only one way, and that is out.

For us this is a big disappointment. We thought he would follow our philosophy.

It's a pity because we gave him the opportunity to rehabilitate himself. Then we gave him a contract. Then of course he is fit to play.

When you're not playing in the first team, you have to play in the reserves.

Victor Valdes was said to be in talk with Turkish Football club, Antalyaspor, but he is yet to decide about it. He is also said to be talking with Valencia, and will leave Manchester United once his contract expires next summer.

Experienced German Midfielder, Bastian Schweinsteiger has completed a £14 million to Manchester United. The former Bayern Munich midfielder ended his 17-year association with the club, signing a 3 years contract with MUFC.

Schweinsteiger flew into Manchester United over the weekend, did his medicals on Sunday and penned his personal terms to seal the deal.

This will be a re-union with his former Bayern coach, Louis van Gaal who had see to his transfer from the club, and had also helped turned him to one of the best midfielder in football.

Bastian Schweinsteiger took to his Twitter page and had this to say :

After 17 incredible years at FC Bayern, 15 national titles, winning the historical triple and uncountable other highlights that I was fortunate enough to experience with my incredible team, all you exceptional fans and the co-workers at Sabener Strasse and Allianz Arena, I have decided to take a new career step.

This decision was very hard to make because you and FCB have, are and will always be an extremely important part of my life. Nevertheless, I would like to again gain experience at a new club. My destination is Manchester United. I hope you understand my decision. No one can take away the incredible journey we had together

Manchester United Goalkeeper, Victor Valdes, is currently with talks with Turkish club, Antalyaspor. The 33-year old will be joining his former teammate, who they once played together at Barcelona, Samuel Eto'o and Ronaldinho.

The newly promoted Turkish club are not afraid to splash their cash on building a real luxury squad.

The press officer of Antalyaspor, Hasan Ali Ceylan  confirmed the news that negotiations have begun to sign the player. Metin Korkmaz, an Antalyaspor representative said that it won't be easy to lure Victor Valdes to the club, but they will meet with his agent for talks, though it is still tricky as the goalkeeper still has one more year at Old Trafford.

Samuel Eto'o is has spoken to him 4 times, and this might also influence his decision to join the Turkish side.

The new Manchester United Signee, Memphis Depay have assured Manchester United fans of exciting them at his unveiling on Friday. The former PSV Eindhoven player at his unveiling had rejected all comparison with the Real Madrid and Portugal superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo. He said :

   I don't want to say I can be like somebody as that, but I think I can excite the fans

Speaking at his unveiling, the Manchester United coach, Louis Van Gaal said that :

  He's a goalscoring winger and there aren't so many of them in the world, Messi is one of those. I think he's one of the few highly-talented boys of his age,He's full of confidence, as you can hear, but he also knows there's a difference between the Premier League and the Dutch league.

He's full of confidence, he'll say what he's thinking.

Depay was transferred from PSV Eidhoven for £25 million, and will be joining the club on their tour to the USA. He scored 28 goals from 40 appearances last season.
