The Boko Haram terrorist group known for disrupting peace in the Northern Eastern part of Nigeria might be trying to extend his terror campaign to Senegal, prompting the immediate ban of the Burqa nationwide in Senegal.

According to the interior minister in Senegal, Abdoulaye Daouda, women are no longer allowed to wear the Burqa, which only leaves the eyes opened, an important decision  to stop terrorist from using the Burqa as a disguise material.

Senegal has not experienced any terrorist attack recently, but authorities are concerned that the Nigeria terrorist cell, which invaded the Chad and Cameroon, might be extending his reach to Senegal after five of the members associated with the terror cell was arrested by police in a nationwide crackdown.

Muslims in Senegal are estimated to be 92%, and the Burqa ban has raised debate about national security with religious freedom. A Dakar-based researcher while sharing his view on the ban, said "Its imposition in Senegal will cause social instability … there is a delicate line between preventive measures and respect for individual freedoms"

A Muslim leader and member of parliament, Mbaye Niang, said that the new law is to protect Islam. "We should not allow someone to cover their entire body like terrorists do. This is a tradition of some countries, but it has nothing to do with Islam, the reason terrorists use this method was because they wanted to attack the religion"

A man has killed four marines, injuring several others in the Chattanooga military recruiting center and Navy-Marine training facility, Tennessee, USA. The man went on a murderous rampage on Thursday in what officials are calling"act of domestic terrorism".

The man who was killed by the police was identified as Kuwaiti-born shooter, Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez, a 24 year old resident of Hixson, Tennessee, holding  a US and Jordanian citizenship, officials said.

Police later invaded the home of the shooter, and took away 2 women in handcuffs. The FBI is currently looking into the action of the man, if he is acting on the call from the Muslim terrorist group, ISIS, who had called on its followers to increase their attack in the holy month of Ramadan, which ends on Friday. A move that also caused the act of terrorism in Tunisia, when a man killed 5 British national and 37 other people from different countries.

President Obama in his speech said that the FBI would spearhead the investigation into the "heartbreaking attack" which he called the work of a “lone gunman.” President Obama said :

“We take all shootings very seriously,Obviously, when you have an attack on a US military facility, we have to make sure that we have all the information necessary to make an assessment of how this attack took place and how to take precautions in the future.”

The FBI special agent in charge of the case, Ed Reinhold, said that :

We are looking at every possible avenue, whether it was terrorism — whether it was domestic, international — or whether it was a simple, criminal act.

How The Shooting Happened

Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez rolled up from his Mustang, and fired a shot at around 10:45am, said Brian Lepley, a spokesman for the US Army Recruiting Command in Fort Knox, Ky.

“ Shortly after that, just a few seconds, the shooter began shooting more rounds. We realized it was an actual shooting,” Sgt. 1st Class Robert Dodge, 36 told CBS news. He fired 30-50 shots.

Terrified recruiters then ran laid on the floor, and hide themselves in safe places. The shooter then drove 7 miles away from the place of his first shooting to the Navy Operational Support Center and Marine Corps Reserve Center, where he went on another shooting spree, killing four people.

I couldn’t even begin to tell you how many [bullets were fired],” Marilyn Hutcheson, who works across the street at Binswanger Glass, told CBS News. I locked myself with other employees for at least 20 minutes. If it was a grievance or terroristic-related, we just don’t know.

It was rapid fire, like pow, pow, pow, pow, pow, so quickly. The next thing I knew, there were police cars coming from every direction.

The shooter, Abdulazeez was later shot by police when he rammed a gate at the reserve centre, CNN reported

Kano, Nigeria : Nigeria is a country of roughly 200 million people, struggling to make ends meet, but still lives under the $1 clause. The country is divided into 2 main religions, Christianity and Islam, and these two religions have defined most things that happen in the country, while the Northern part of the country is known for its highly concentration of Muslims, the Other part of the country is concentrated with Christians. Though you have other religions in the country, but the truth remains that the country is dominated by these 2 religions, Christianity and Islam.

A lot of killings is been happening in the Northern part of the country by the deadly sect, Boko Haram, rendering both Christians and Muslim homeless, they mostly committed their crime using the name of Allah, something many Muslims have denied is in the name of their God.

Muslims in Kano will deal with anybody that mocks the name of Prophet Muhammed or tear the holy Koran. This case had happened in Kano before where a mad man was beheaded for tearing a page of the Koran and cleaning up himself after using the toilet. Another case outside Africa happened in Afghanistan, after a woman was killed because someone lied that she burnt the pages of the Koran.

So when a trend, #SaveKanoNine was started by a Twitter user, @generaliy07, we decided to check it out. And this is what is happening in Kano that Nigerians and the world needs to know.

On Thursday, 26th of June, 2015, a Sharia court in Kano put a Abdul-Inyas and Hajiya Mairo to death on the charges of blasphemy. The judgement was like winning a lottery for Kano people as they dance and celebrated the victory, this was followed by a statement from the state government, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso who said the death penalty will serve as a warning to other people who is planning of doing the same.

Nigeria is a country with mixed religion and it is illegal for any religious court to sentence any of its citizens to death without normal law proceedings following the constitution of the country.

People in the North are being killed by Boko Haram everyday, and they have to sleep with just one eye closed, why do we still sentence people to death again in a country with a judicial system. Nigerians should not only speak against these, but make sure the Nine Kano citizen are freed and protected when released by the court.

Two months ago, a court house was set on fire because the judge released someone that was accused of blasphemy to Prophet Muhammed.

Nigerians have started the campaign on Twitter, and everyone should get involved. See some tweet from Nigerians going against the death penalty
