5 Police Dead, 6 Wounded As Snipers Shoot Police Officers In Dallas, Texas

A protest that had started out peacefully in Dallas, Texas has gone south after an unknown gunmen started shooting at policemen, killing 5 officers and injuring 6 others.  Also at least 11 other police officers were shot.

                         

The police also arrested a lady suspect who was also involved in a shootout with SWAT officers near the garage at El Centro College in downtown is in custody. A suspicious package found around the same location was inspected by the Dallas Department police bomb squad.

In a news conference, Dallas Police Chief David Brown said they are currently negotiating with the second suspect in the second floor of the garage, and had exchange gunfires with police, and also not cooperating with the police.

 David Brown said the suspect said;  "the end was coming," that he's "going to hurt and kill more of us" (meaning law enforcement), and that there were bombs planted all over the garage and downtown.

The protest happening around different states in the country is due to the death of Anton Sterling that was shot by police officer on Tuesday and another black man, Philando Castile, 32 killed in a traffic stop in Minnesota on Wednesday.
