48% Pass Recorded As WAEC Released Nov/Dec Result
The West African Examination Council, WAEC, has released the November/December 2015 General Certificate Examination (GCE) result.  At a news conference on Thursday in Lagos, the Head National Office of the Council,  Mr. Isaac Adenipekun, said that 237,154 sat for the examinations and 235,542 candidates got their results released to them. 1,612 have issues with their results, and the problems have been traced to student errors during registrations and when writing the examination.

Man Stabbed Three People In London Tube Station
Police have arrested a man in the East London tube station on Saturday night after he had stabbed three people. Police subdued the man with a stun gun before arresting him. Police in  Leytonstone station have said they are treating the incident as a terrorist attack. One of the stabbed people sustained injuries, though not life-threatening, the other two sustained minor injuries. Police said they were called around 7pm about a man that had stabbed people with a knife, and also threatening others.

Police have arrested a student at the University of Illinois-Chicago on Monday after making an online threat targeting the student of the University of Chicago main campus.
