The new Nigerian government under the President Muhammadu Buhari has announced that it has recovered in its one year administration, N3.4million Naira from the previous administrations looted fund. In a statement by Alhaji Lai Muhammed, the looted funds were recovered between May 29, 2015 and May 25, 2016. Cash and assets totalling N3.4 Trillion have now been recovered, and the country awaits N115 Billions from countries where some of the looted funds were sent to. The countries are; Switzerland,  United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, and the United States.

President-elect Rodrigo Duterte Of The Philippine has sent a strong warning to the media in the country not to cross their boundary in his administration. Duterte who has faced backlash after his comment on the recent killings of journalist in the country, Duterte who showed no remorse about the killing said in Davao city;  Journalists think too much of themselves,” Kill journalism in this country. Stop journalism in this country, if you are worth your salt. If not, then I will think lowly of you. [That would mean] that you are cowards.

Kay Hollingsworth, 30, an award winning and primary school teacher have now been suspended after the mother of a 11 year old boy saw her flirty messages to her via Instagram. Kay has asked that the young child imagine her naked as she was about to enter the bathroom, she also told him that she was single, and ready to mingle.                      

Richard Huckle, 30 year old, British citizen from Ashford in Kent is facing 71 count charges after he was believed to have abused up to 200 children, aged between six months and 12 years. He carried out the act between 2006-2014. Huckle, a Christian had travelled to Malaysia for a teaching gap year when he was between 18 and 19 years old. While he Malaysia, Huckle was reported to have abused more than 23 children in a poor community in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam: An Australian, Nathan Andrew James, 34,has been sentenced to life in prison after police found him to be in possession of 3.5 kilograms of heroin he was smuggling from Ho Chi Minh City to Sydney, Australia. James was arrested at the Tan Son Nhat International airport in October 2013 while he was checking in for a flight to Sydney. The drug was found in his luggage by customs officials.

Manila, Philippine: The parliament in Philippine has declared Philippine the 71 years old Rodrigo Duterte to be the new president of the country. The new president is to replace Benigno Aquino, whose second time in office expired.
