Authorities in Milwaukee have arrested a 32 year old, Horacio Alvarado, an illegal immigrant staying in the US, and decided to rape his stepdaughter, who at the time of the rape was only 15 years old,  so that if she had a baby, it will allow him to remain in the US. The man has now been charged with a first-degree sexual assault, and repeated assaults and incest. He is now being held for a $20,000 bail after he pleaded not guilty in a court appearance.

Two Navy Seals are now a person of interest after the death of Army Sgt. Logan Melgar in Mali in June. According to reports, Sgt. Logan Melgar was allegedly killed after he uncovered the corrupt practice of 2 Navy Seals member who had coveted money meant for informants.                 

The Alabama Republican Senate nominee, Roy Moore is in the news for sexually assaulting a 14 year old girl while he was 32. Catalonia has decided to take the high road and declare independence from Spain. This is a wish of the Catalonia people. Around 43% that had voted, 90% vote said that the Catalans want their own independence from Spain. The Regional President Carles Puigdemont has asked for negotiation from the Spanish government, but he was instead rebuked by both the Spanish king and Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy.The Spanish government claimed that the referendum by the Catalans were illegal.

Prominent Russian journalist, Tatyana Felgenhauer was stabbed in the neck with a knife by an unidentified man that stormed into the Ekho Moskvy radio station. Tatyana was rushed to the hospital, and currently in a stable condition, according to the station’s chief editor, Alexey Venediktov. The assailant was then apprehended by the security guard at the station and handed over to the police. Tabloids report that two assailants sprayed gas on the security guard at the radio station, and later went to the recording floor via the elevator to stab the journalist.

The Maltese journalist, Daphne Caruana Galizia that exposed the tie of Malta links to the offshore tax havens through the leaked Panama papers was killed on Monday, when a car bomb exploded in her car. Daphne Caruana Galizia, the 53 year old journalist, according to  Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, had just driven from her home in Moscat, a large town of Malta Island when the bomb went off, spiralling the car wreckage over a wall, and into the field.

ISIS might be on the way out of the terrorism list as the group continues to suffers a series of defeats in Iraq. ISIS fighters now for fear of being killed surrendered themselves to the Iraqi security forces, and they are all awaiting interrogations.
