Senator Al Franken Accused Of Groping By A News Anchor
US senator Al Franken (D-Minnesota) is the latest one in the news about sexual allegations after a Los Angeles news anchor, Leeann Tweeden wrote in her latest blog post of Al Franken of groping her. Leeann Tweeden of KABC said that the incident happened in 2006 during a USO tour. At the time of the incident, Al Franken was a the  headliner of the show and also a Saturday Night Live writer.                        
Illegal Immigrant Raped Step-Daughter So He Could Remain In The US
Authorities in Milwaukee have arrested a 32 year old, Horacio Alvarado, an illegal immigrant staying in the US, and decided to rape his stepdaughter, who at the time of the rape was only 15 years old,  so that if she had a baby, it will allow him to remain in the US. The man has now been charged with a first-degree sexual assault, and repeated assaults and incest. He is now being held for a $20,000 bail after he pleaded not guilty in a court appearance.

26 People Dead After Man Invaded Texas Church
In just less than a few weeks after more than 50 people were killed in a public shooting in Vegas, the police have now confirmed the death of 26 people after a US ex-airforce man,  Devin Kelley, 26, of New Braunfels, Texas opened fire at a church congregation at the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs around 11 a.m. CT.

Catalonia has decided to take the high road and declare independence from Spain. This is a wish of the Catalonia people. Around 43% that had voted, 90% vote said that the Catalans want their own independence from Spain. The Regional President Carles Puigdemont has asked for negotiation from the Spanish government, but he was instead rebuked by both the Spanish king and Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy.The Spanish government claimed that the referendum by the Catalans were illegal.

A former school aide and coach in Maryland has been arrested for assaulting a 42 young boys between the ages of 11-17 years old, and also exposed them to HIV. Carlos Bell, 30, has now been indicted for 206 count charges by the State’s Attorney’s Office, and all his assaults happened in the past 2 years.                    
Popular Russian Journalist Stabbed In the Neck At The Ekho Moskvy radio station
Prominent Russian journalist, Tatyana Felgenhauer was stabbed in the neck with a knife by an unidentified man that stormed into the Ekho Moskvy radio station. Tatyana was rushed to the hospital, and currently in a stable condition, according to the station’s chief editor, Alexey Venediktov. The assailant was then apprehended by the security guard at the station and handed over to the police. Tabloids report that two assailants sprayed gas on the security guard at the radio station, and later went to the recording floor via the elevator to stab the journalist.

Chinese Police Detained Journalist For Writing About Missing Students In Wuhan
A Chinese journalist have been arrested for "rumour-mongering" after he wrote an article about 32 missing students in the central city of Wuhan in recent years. The 39 year old journalist identified as Wang was detained on suspicion of "faking the facts and spreading rumors" in an article titled "32 students Mysteriously Disappear in Wuhan," and also interviewed family members. The Wuhan police post has said the story is inaccurate, and the post is now deleted after one of the parents of the missing Wuhan student Lin Feiyang requested it to be removed.
